The Rainbow Reef is a fantastic 30km long reef in the heart of the Somosomo Straits, just a 20 minute scenic boat trip from Paradise Taveuni, and has over 20 spectacular dive sites to choose from.

The Somosomo Staits bring in nutrient rich waters allowing soft corals and fish to grow to remarkable sizes, beautiful sizes and huge numbers.

But diving Taveuni is not just restricted to the Rainbow Reef. You will alsoo find the pristine Vuna Reef at the southern tip of Taveuni, only 4 minutes boat ride from Paradise Taveuni, offering over 10 dive sites that are comparable to the Rainbow Reef to the north.

With 3 dive boats in Paradise, holding 28 divers, we visit  Rainbow Reef  and Vuna Reef on request and according to the water conditions. Our local Dive Team members are born and bred in this area and know the Taveuni waters well.

Paradise Taveuni also boasts 3 beautiful shore dives and at least another 10 dives around the protected corner of Dolphin Bay, just 2 minutes boat ride from Paradise.

Amazing snorkelling directly in front of the Resort

One of the many FREE RESORT ACTIVITIES in Paradise is a guided Snorkelling Safari. Join our local guide as he leads you on a an exciting underwater voyage.

Drift along at a leisurely pace and take in the splendour of life underwater, whilst returning to Paradise.

Departing at various times of the day and dependant on the tides and currents around the clear waters of Paradise, our guide will lead you on a snorkelling journey, pointing out fascinating corals, fish life and shells along the way.  Snorkelling Safari’s are 90 mins and available daily in Paradise.

Our beautiful son Thomas - or Tomasi in Fijian - celebrated his 4th birthday recently. We had  a small party for Tom with cake, singing and presents.
